1.the market in NYC could not be stronger right now, I've had FOUR calls for jobs this week and it's only wednesday. You should be able to go to monster.com or hotjobs.com or anyplace and get work if you're in NYC.
2. if you're having trouble, get a headhunter/staffing agency. Google NYC STAFFING AGENCY DESIGN or whatever and call the first 10 links. You'll have work by friday if your work is decent.
3.If your work isn't decent, read 4-5 tutorials, build out some kind of cool stuff, post it here for critique and then repeat step 2.
