  i apreciate the effort you put into designing it, but i agree that it may be too designed. granted, you're a designer and you want them to know that, but your "resume" should be easy to read with no distractions from content.
  let your graphics speak for itself in your portfolio.

  the two things i get from a resume thats over-designed are this:
  1. the designer in question lacks confidence in his/her own skill, thereby over-compensating by over=designing their cv
  or
  2: the designer in question doesn't give a rats ass about their resume because they have too much work on their plate as is therefore they throw together a resume for someone who has asked for one.

  thats my 2 cents.
