i ordered a few, they are far superior to the g2's i've been using and you can get a much finer point size than what's available in the us. they are virtually smudgeproof, which is great because i am a lefty. i bought mine at http://www.jetpens.com
i'm talking to my friend who has friends in japan about possibly importing and selling these online. as you found, they are hard to come by. i wrote to pilot and they said there are patent restrictions forbidding them from being sold in the us by pilot.
