    How does this even work in black and white or at small sizes? Do people even regard these things anymore?

    it is not a logo. it is a symbol to promote the hague abroad. not meant for faxes etc.

    it would look great to see it printed in huge dimensions.

    i like it, it's fresh and can rely on many interpretations. the victory boogie woogie is in there, the outlines of the hague, sea, dunes and protection. when you rotate it it is indeed a kite.

    this reminds me also of the spanish cultural phenomenon of painted logo's, with just a few strokes of the brush.

    and do not expect anything else from corbijn as this is the way he works. blame the hague council for hiring anton if you don't like it.
