    you can't really compare gehry and gaudi.

    his process is totally based on the exterior form and not so much on interior program and it seems to dismiss the lighting and interior treatment.

    his celebrated status amuses me because there are so many great architects who create amazing space that's more contexual and less of a 'surprise-eye-candy'.

    he's not changing archectural structure or inventing new structural system. it's been done many times before. he just happen to be the one who really did it big scale and decided to make a statement. if you wanna talk about arch-engeneering, we should talk about Arup and how they have helped many architects to crystalize their visions with their amazing approach and process.

    i'd rather worship peter zumthor or tadao ando who can build amazing space using excellent materials, simple form and impeccable light treatment.

    but this is just my opinion. my college buddy works for gehry and i don't make any judgements. i'll be seeing him this coming week for a drink.
