its not a TB303 which is the classic 'bassline-only' piece of hardware.
This is the MC-303, its got banks and banks of different instruments and drums. including the drum kits in the famous 808 and 909 classic machines.
I've never created music 'just' using these pieces of kit.
Admitedly ive never used the 303 to its full potential as a music workstation, i've just used the sounds and instruments within it (by plugging in a midi keyboard and playing). So some of my tunes features instruments (mainly strings and pianos etc from the 303 groovebox).
I'd originally got the SU200 as a means of playing some of my music live but never got round to using it that way. I hate reading manuals - so again, never used this to its full potential lol. I have used it a lot in music to trigger samples though as im music-making.
What you can do to samples on the fly with the effects is good fun.The music i've done to date has been in Cubase and just using these pieces of hardware as 'instruments'.
