if I move back to LA, I would live in either Echo Park/Silver Lake, North Venice or Sant Monica/Westwood. It would all depend on where I worked though.
Living in LB and having to drive to, say, Santa Monica everyday to work would be a particularly excruciating version of hell.

that's the freeway where, after a year or so of two-hour, gridlock commutes each way, you end up shooting the unassuming surfer who accidently bumped you from behind and made you spill coffee on your fake tits.
I guess you could always get acclimated to driving to work at 4AM and driving home at 11PM
The moral is: live where you work.
It wouldn't hurt either to start looking for designated drivers, as we speak.
