I live in Atlanta and yes it has its perks...affordable housing, accessible living, etc. BUT if you're young live NYC. Despite the growth here in my opinion Atlanta is no match for NYC. If I could do it all over again I'd be in NYC.
As far as agencies we do have some good ones but whatever you do...do your research. Alot of the mid-size regional agencies here are borderline sweatshops. I've worked in one and have since moved to a larger agency that acts more like a creative house should.
