http://www.basecamphq.com/there are 'better' solutions to do just this out there, but for the money, hard as hell to beat. it will do what you are asking, fits w/in your existing LAMP knowledge, and looks a bit more attractive than standard dir. listings, but w/o you doing any of the work ;)
