yes, i'm turning over a new leaf.
they had to replace the hard disk, the logic board, the bottom section of the case, the thing that works the screen (forgot what that's called) and the battery. and i think something else, but can't remember what...
so, starting from scratch having learned a valuable lesson. and with a new lacie on the way, naturally.
