I tend to agree with the camp that wonders why this keeps getting posted.
I find his work to be good but not great.
On one hand he seems to have a good working relationship when doing portraiture, especially in the urban vein, but on the other hand all the shots seem flat as far as lighting is concerned.
And, there's a couple of fashion editorials in there that are based on really simple concepts (e.g. gangfight in an alley) and the execution of them is poor. They come off as very much contrived which weakens the original concept even further.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that they all see so . . . fake. I've never really been moved emotionally by any of them which is why I consider them good but not great.
Yet, I always see this link popping up in here all over the place and have to admit that I too have wondered why.
As for the idea of "be nice or shut up", that's rediculous. If you don't want a critique then email the link to your mom.
