    It's just smart politics. Being a centrist you can have views and opinions that attract voters from both parties. IMHO - if more democrats moved to the center more democrats would be getting elected...

    Yup, she is definitely trying to water down the backlash she has been getting from everyone. But moving towards the center you can have a larger 'tent', meaning that you have more interests covered.
