carcetti will win because his character is based loosely on our current mayor martin o'malley, who, seizing on the opportunity, is now opposing the incumbent republican governor in the upcoming election.
and it's not like anyone in the city is going to "blame darky". the city's 3/4 black.
the point of the wire is to show the faults in the system, be it the political, legal, and educational system. it may work elsewhere, but here, it fails daily. there are no good or bad guys, and no one is assured survival.
plus i've been watching the episodes on-demand, and they are a week ahead of hbo.
