A thread where people are lovingly showing their age.
I saw the Lemonheads perform at the London Astoria way back in the early nineties. Supported by a diabolical Hole if I recall. Right up at the front squashed up against the barrier for the entire show. Unfortunately half way through some stagediver jumped off the stage right in front of me and just clipped my glasses with his doc martens. They went flying into the crowd and I spent the rest of the show blinking. When it finished everyone milled out except for me who sifted through the plastic beer glasses and detritus left around looking for my glasses. Evan cam back on stage (obviously he was his own roadie then - this was the LOVEY era just before shame about ray). I asked him if he could see a pair of glasses on the stage anywhere and explained what happened. He had a quick look and couldn't find them unfortunately.
I did find them eventually but they were pretty trashed, if you're interested.
Anyway, they were a good band. Will have to check out the new stuff.
