Too many times I'm forced to use typefaces based on existing huisstijls, I don't agree with it more often than not, but can't be bothered to bitch about it anymore. What's the point... It's not gonna change anything. It's like the morons on here when someone asks for a design crit and someone says 'wow, that's a shit tagline, you should tell them to change that" yeah, whatever, like most clients are gonna listen...valid point, but largely irrelevent..
People are always gonna use Helvetica [like me] people are always gonna use 'natural' photography, people are always gonna re-hash something old and 'make it new again'
I hear your frustration, I just can't be bothered with even noticing this shit anymore or begin to even think about 'discussing' it...
maybe it's the new job I'm being offered tomorrow, for twice as much money, 10 min walk from my flat, less hours but shitty work. Maybe I've already left the building. I dunno, but more importantly, for this moment, I don't care...
