sometimes the client is the problem and can't be prevented. in such cases a designer that can fix a problem while maintaining the artistic cred. is the great designer in my eyes.

(Oct 10 06, 14:07)we have a client here and we knew their lack of being able to look past the design, at the content was going to be a huge problem. we designed grayscale wireframes for them to force them to focus on the way we choose to lay out their content, and process. they loved it.
problem prevented. :)
