My guess is that the $23 has less to do with 2A and more to do with the venue, DJ, Bacardi, etc. It is a little steep though.
Still, no reason NOT to promote something like this. Same thing we do when our band puts out any kind of release, etc. Not promoting it and trying to get tons of people's attention is the bad idea. Throwing a party and saying "hey everyone look at what we did" is a great idea. My $.02
