    btw, his deal with russia was worth $3 billion. their army wasnt that good to begin with. compare that to the half trillion spent each year by the US, NOT counting ongoing combat costs.

    Great point. Half a trillion is way more than 3 billion, unless you take this into consideration.

    United Stattes:
    GDP: 12.41 Trillion
    Military spending: 500 Billion
    = 24% (roughly)

    Venezuela:
    GDP: 163.503 Billion
    Military spending on Russia alone: 3 Billion
    = 54% (roughly)

    So, if Venezuela had the US's GDP they would spend 1 trillion dollars and change.
