By the way, Weeds is an awesome show.
And I agree about not cutting your own hair. Some people (usually those with shorter hair) can get away with it, but most of the time the 'mistakes' are noticeable. I sat behind this one guy in my class two years ago and his hair really pissed me off in class. I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive, so his hair being really uneven at the back distracted me. Also, my brother cuts his own hair all the time and the mistakes are pretty obvious. He's getting better though.
