do you have final cut pro?
if so then you could do it well quickly with that, but it would require a second render, before you took it into AE.
export your 30 frames as an image sequence.
Import into fcp setting your still frame / freeze to 30 seconds. drag and drop your imported folder onto timeline, render out you will have 30 stills at 30 seconds each on one big assed movie :D then take into AE to tinker about with.
