    I'd take the DART train north to Howth, it's a peninsula 25 minutes from the centre, you can walk around it on a cliff with very nice views. Other than that.. Grafton street to Stephen's Green, Temple Bar (a tourist street full of pubs). Guinness brewery might be interesting, though located in a kinda shady area. That's also where lots of design companies reside too.
    There's a castle and a cathedral on the walk there from the centre (but better use a map to locate them). It might be nice to take the southbound DART, ie to Bray, there are some nice views as it goes along the coastline.
    Bus stops and times are mystery even to locals, and the streets are badly marked (Bono sang about streets with no names, now I think I get it..)

    It's a beer city, meaning if you want to feel its vibe, you need to walk around on one-two pints.
