yeah I was aware of that, but considering the audience is not nerdy graphic designers, I would rather think of a concept that may carry across to the target market even if subliminally, otherwise we are only providing shoddy back up material to impress the client during presentation. Its funny when you see logos or graphics and its patently obvious that the designer has chosen the typeface because it happens to have the same name as the product or whatever, that cracks me up.
For me, and I'm sure you are the same, but the first stage is always figuring out the basis of the clients operations, putting words on paper and thinking of concepts. The prettifying comes later.
