I agree that you should be mad, upset, confused, hurt that she went behind your back. But you need to look within yourself and figure out what it is that is occupying your personal time so much (sounds to me like moping in front of the computer and using that as an excuse for something else in your mind that is going on-aka, the fear of meeting people socially that you mentioned) that you don't make time for your wife.
Regardless of the fact that you have problems currently and neither of you have addressed them with each other, you married each other hopefully because you loved each other and wanted to be together forever. That alone should be worth more than any single second you spend confused and such about design bullshit.Oh, and what were you doing going through her stuff anyways?
