  use iTunes [not the Finder] to organize your music and manage dupes:

  prefs > advanced >
  check 'keep iTunes folder organized' and 'copy files to iTunes music folder'... click OK

  then, under the advanced MENUBAR, select consolidate library.

  after this, you can just manage your tracks from within iTunes, no need to manage the folder in the finder, because with the 'keep organized' option checked, it wil automatically re-label all info on the files and folders.

  you can moves files to the trash from iTunes by hiliting a track and hitting apple-delete...
