I think he was seeing it in a US context (you know, limited terms of office and stuff) but it didn't look incediary to me (not yet anyway)

yeah... i wasn't trying to start a fight or anything... I was merely mentioning that 'resignation' due to public and political pressure probably wouldn't occur over in the states... and that I didn't quite understand really...... para's right... I don't know much about UK politics and political process- I posted the wash. post newstory and thought that a few of you could possibly explain how that 'kind' of pressure can make a man leave such an office as Blair's...
.. Nixon left because he was openly exposed w/corruption in regards to his party's campaigning tactics...
... also... given the 'time of history' we're in... I don't understand why a leader would just 'step down'... it seems very 'weak' to me - because polls and opinions change politically on a dime.
