you know what's interesting? The number of times you are singing a song and switch the tv on and it ISN'T playing (which can be explained by you having a popular tune in your head and the tv playing popular tunes) or how many old school friends you DON"T bump into at the top of the empire state building.
We only acknowlege these things when they are a coincidence but ignore them the rest of the time. They're not weird, it's just that you don't notice the other 99.9% of the time when it doesn't happen.
It's like people say that yawning is contagious. No, yawns aren't contagious, it's just if you're yawinging it may be because you're in a stuffy room with not much fresh air, those around you are in the same environment and therefore subject to the same lack of oxygen etc.
