I would think all the harsh crit would be warranted if the dude was a dick. But he did a lecture at Columbia last spring and he was such a nice guy, I was surprised. I guess I just figured all the bashing was a result of his demeanor, but he was just a regular dude with a great attitude. He stayed for like an hour after the lecture chatting with people and answering more questions, taking people business cards and shaking hands. I can see why I lot of people are still rough on him, he's a young dude with an unbelievable client list and he'll never have to work in a cube surrounded by AD and CD douchebags. Unlike myself, who's "client list" consists of burnouts with online "mags" the occasional clothing boutique that closes inside of six months.
