I don't own a macbook yet (but I will once the improved ones come out at the end of this month) so my opinion might not count that much.
But from what I've heard, they both perform quite similarly with ps.Check http://forums.macrumors.com/
Here you'll find quite bit of info regarding speed and overall performance.
I personally think the the Pro is a better choice coz of the video card and it is a bit faster.
