Some of the best financial advice I've ever read. He talks in plain language with students in mind. A great place to start.
For mac try Moneydance, or there is an online solution at www.moneypants.com (just try to ignore the comic sans).
I racked up huge debt in college and was in over my head when I first got out and was borrowing money to cover rent for a few months. The most important thing I learned was to track every single dollar you spend. Then figure out where your money is going, adjust and make a budget and stick to it.
Once you've got a budget you can live with, talk to your bank about a personal loan and pay off all your credit cards with it. The interest will usually be half or less than what you're currently paying. Plus banks will always put you on a payment plan so you can see when you're debt will be paid off.
