You have good points. I basically mean that if you can't pay off something within the month then you shouldn't use the card. Of course, emergencies are different. You could have something for that as well, but paying interest on it is pretty crappy.
TheBlueOne, I agree about the engagement ring thing. I would rather have something smaller or affordable than the usual ring, as it wouldn't be as symbolic to me as it is for other ppl. It all depends on myémy partner's financial situation when/if I get married.
