i think a credit card is great if you use it wisely. i pretty much make most of purchases with cards. but i always pay off everything every month.
i have citi mastercard, citi amex and the reward points go to the same place. so it adds up quickly.
a good thing about amex is that extended warranty and other services that come with it whenver you make purchases.
i have enough points to spend 4nights at ritz now.
