years ago I moved gf's father into a aprtment bldg in chelsea The apartment was above the gay mens health clinic which was just beginning to deal with AIDS killing people left and right- there was always a line out front on the stoop when it opened in the morning) While carrying his extra stuff into the basement I met an old women on the second floor. She asked I carry some stuff down for her too. Husband was sick, she wasn't well etc. my husband's papers, thing, pfft, nothing, you see. I carried down two open boxes which when I put down the second, I looked at. They were the original comps for Krone's volkswagen ads plus all kinds of collateral. Two boxes. I lingered but when I was young nothing really seemed remarkable because I expected life to be that way. I knew what I was looking at but didn't care so much. I could see it any old time.
PS. I think "internets legend " sounds more internetty.
