  You only have to put Powerbooks to sleep to change batteries, so there must be a capacitor thingy in there somewhere... (MacBook Pro has to write RAM contents to disk first, then sleep, before changing batteries).

  but not sure if the change function will actually work when a battery wasnt present when PB was put to sleep?
