I loved the church. Marty and Peter did some great guitar work. Starfish is one of my favorite albums of all time.
I'm not sure how the Pixies can be seen an underappreciated... by 'mainstream' audiences maybe...but the number of bands that make reference to them is quite large... and the fanbase they have is pretty large too.
Quicksand on the other hand... small fan-base... pretty good number of bands that recognise Slip as one of the best albums ever... but still I think that at least that album is underappreciated.
