and thanks forcetwelve – yeah, if you enter keywords that visually or conceptually describe the design or name or industry (preferrably all of the above), then anyone searching for those keywords will come across your design.
likewise, if you're designing a Thai food restaurant logo for example, you can search for other Thai restaurant logos to see what's been done to date (once the database is thoroughly populated that is). Or if your concept for a logo has bird silhouette in it, you can search for other bird related images to watch trends and avoid conflicts - especially within related industries.
