    My pentax K100D arrived today, can't wait to get back home!

    Nikon, Pentax and Minolta (Sony) (Olympus as well I think) use the same Sony CCD sensor, so they offer more or less the same image quality. Canon image quality might differ with its CMOS sensor.
    Pentax and Sony(minolta) have the image stabilizer now.

    I chose Pentax because it's very small, very capable and uses all Pentax mount lenses down to the 70's. It even measures light and signals focus with those 30 years old russian manual ones!
    I sold the *istDS yesterday, it was a tad slow and lacked the stabilizer. K100D is just what I needed.
    $1K will buy it with a veery nice lens.. (or two)
