I worked for TNO in Delft near the Hague and went to nightschool to learnt (the learning approach was - Delfste Methode - which made it really easy) - it came in very useful whilst I worked there although many dutch ppl want to practice their english on you - making it difficult to practise yr dutch.
If you with other ppl that can speak (some) dutch and your not in holland i think it can be extremely useful at times - ie when you want to communicate and not have the other ppl understand
