  I tested out 2 pairs of in ear monitors over the last few days.

  -Sennheiser CX 300
  -Shure E2c

  The Senn's are very light and look easy to maintain but the thin, asymetrical J-cord is lame-o. The design of the E2c's might look a little dated and having to replace the mesh wax guard periodically is wack but in terms of build and audio quality in this price range, the Shure's win hands down. The Shure's came with 9 different sets of sleeves upping your chances of finding a good seal which is crucial.
