    I started playing around with Ruby on Rails this weekend and built a small app from a tutorial. I thought it was relatively easy and automated a lot. Scaffolding is a cool feature.

    Can anyone recommend a good reference or beginner info for the syntax? So far I prefer the dot notation.
    I feel like I will have a hard time getting used to the syntax.

    I haven't been able to find much straight forward info in simple stuff like setting and outputting variables? If anyone has info on that let me know.
