  also if you are looking for something historic, fun, and filled with booze and a good time try chumley's at 86 bedford street in the west village, it's where the term "86 this and/or that" came from ( supposedly )

  along the lines of August and these other nice places my fave is Salt 56 MacDougal St

  very nice place, very good food, though it's pricey it's quality.
