A couple years ago I was told to put my water bottle through the x-ray machine.
A clear water bottle like you get at a convenience store with a screw top.
A water bottle that I had been drinking out of while standing in line. That I had been drinking out of *in front of the security guard. * When I put it through the guy said 'just in case it wasn't water.'
Riiiiiight. Like I'd sit there in line, drinking gasoline? Or maybe he thought I had just made myself a really big gin & tonic for the flight (it was early, so he may have confused sleepiness for drunkeness). That is assuming, of course, that the x-ray machine could tell the difference.
