There was a cmoedian, years ago in Oz called "Steady Eddy' who also had cerebal palsey.
The thing is, his notoriety was achieved not through being funny, but becuase of his disability. I think people were interested in him, more as some vaudevillian sideshow rather than for comic worth. I fiound the whole thing a bit unsavoury at times.
