I must have researched 100 hospitals when I was prepping for a Hospital logo project, and a solid 99% of the sites I found in New England were terrible. The medical industry, especially when dealing with doctors, is famous for its fear of technology (new websites, bells and whistles, even downloadable PDFs).
It's ironic considering how hi-tech the actual hospitals are, but they're not a web-savvy bunch. Hopefully your client isn't a staunchy old hospital administrator.
