    sort of yeah -

    its like if you're working on a web page, you might have an html editor, an ftp client, and dreamweaver open. you keep that as a space.

    then lets say you want to do some graphic work, you have photoshop and illustrator open, you keep that as a space.

    then you can keep your windows open and switch back and forth between the spaces without having to minimize and reshuffle windows.
