Faster films (400, 800) can be used in low light conditions or when the subject is moving (sport).
Slower films (50, 25) have a finer grain and are therefore capable of producing photos of greater detail but need more light.Personally, I use mostly 100 which is a good compromise... But if you want to do indoor photos take 100 or 400 with flash.
