I think mine know what I'm doing and are happy that playing with fun stuff for years and being deaf to gramma's "get a degree" rant brings decent salary now.

I recently realized that 10 years old me would be excited if heard I'd be doing web design. I remember "War Games", where Matthew Broderick was "connecting to a database" through a phone modem. How cool was that? I asked my father what a "database" was, he sort of explained me even I'm sure he had no real clue.

Then the 12 years old me, who learnt programming in Basic from a bi-weelky tech magazine without even seeing a computer.. he would shit in his pants if he saw what I make my living on now.

Not that I'd shit myself as a kid.
