even worse than knowing about what I do is trying to go to an art museum with them ...
Dad and brother, "hey mike, you made paintings like this when you were 4 and couldnt read and still peed your pants - this is shit!"
It does give you a realist perspective on what is art and what is "important" ... but none the less, knowing the history is frusteratingly impossible to explain ...
