My mum and dad always talk about art as though its my thing – say they go to germany and see some art – whatever it is – they always say "Oh Dave, you'd have LOVED it..." when really it sounds shitter than anything I'd have seen before.
But you know what, they try their best to get it and when I go home my mum always asks for bits of print that she can keep. In fact there are a load of my flyers on their kitchen wall that they've kept.
They paid for my degree and supported me in my first few london years – I owe them fucking everything.
