my parent's are both really supportive, but yeah, like most people not trained in design, they just don't get it. friends are like that too.
they appreciate a website maybe, but show them a type exercise or a book design and they just get that look like "what am i supposed to be seeing here?"

My parents have been trying to understand design and stuff, but the problem is that they don't listen at all. So they'll ask me the same questions all the time, especially when telling someone else about me. First they'll start with what I'm studying in school, and then go on to talk about design. So I have to explain myself most of the time, since it's a field most of the people in my culture don't even talk about, let alone actually have careers in. Most of them only talk about being doctors and engineers ;)
