my old man is a graphic designer, working in packaging/advertising and television commercials from the 70s till present.
obviously an influence on why im a designer now. grew up watching him doing work at home and goin in and spending time at the studio during my school holidays (photocopying money, playing with the omnichrome machine, stealing Pantone and Permanent pens and hanging out with the photographer).
so yeah my folks more than know the kind of stuff i do and take a great interest in the work i knock out at gp. and me and my dad have 'design' talks all the time and show each other work-in-progress for each others feedback.
same through art college too, i'd take his opinions over that of the tutors as he'd been working in design for 30 years instead of teaching it for 30 years.
